Semi-transparent layers of chiffon fabric are stretched on the front and back of the frame, with a piece of paper behind them. The inner corners of the middle painting are painted indigo blue, making it appear as a cool shadow around the edges, while on the two others I used raw umber, creating a warmer shadow.
